— Common questions —
For most residential tanks serving 3–5 people, every 3–5 years is standard. Larger households, garbage-disposal use, and aerobic systems may require more frequent service. Call us with your household size and last pump-out date and we'll give you a straight recommendation.
Slow drains throughout the house, gurgling pipes, foul odors near the tank or drain field, soggy or unusually green grass over the leach field, and sewage backup into the lowest drains. If you notice any of these, call before the problem escalates.
A well-maintained conventional system can last 25–40 years. Aerobic systems have a shorter lifespan on mechanical parts (pumps, aerators), but the tank and field last decades. Regular pumping and a maintenance contract are the two biggest factors in extending life.
Traditional (anaerobic) systems rely on oxygen-free bacteria to break down waste, then disperse effluent through a gravel drain field. Aerobic systems inject air into the treatment tank — oxygen-loving bacteria process waste faster and cleaner, allowing surface spray distribution. Aerobic systems are required in many Texas soils but need more maintenance.
Yes — same-day service is available during regular business hours (Mon–Fri, 8 AM – 5 PM). For backups, overflows, or alarms, call as early as you can and we'll do everything we can to get a truck to you the same day.
